Manager, Process Management – Community Investment Ecosystem
As a Process Manager, you will serve as the primary architect of our community investment ecosystem. You will lead a team of process professionals in designing and implementing an operational "Target State" that ensures the cohesive interplay of Community Finance, Community Impact & Investment, and Community Reinvestment Act. You will eliminate fragmented, manual workflows by standardizing documentation and identifying high-leverage opportunities for automation to drive scale and reduce operational risk.
In this position, you will collaborate with leaders in Process, Product, and Tech to ensure our 2026+ technology investments deliver maximum ROI by solving real problems and providing a seamless, data-driven experience for our associates. We are seeking a disciplined, dedicated leader who excels in a dynamic environment and has a proven track record of improving company processes to save time and resources.
GeneralResponsibilities
- Architect the Target State:
Own the design and execution of a unified operational framework for CF, CI&I, and CRA to ensure seamless cross-functional delivery - Drive Modernization:
Partner with Tech and Product to migrate legacy workflows to modern platforms, ensuring the community investment ecosystem is scalable and data-driven - Standardize & Automate:
Eliminate manual fragmentation by standardizing documentation and identifying automation opportunities to reduce operational risk - Measurement & Discipline:
Install rigorous measurement, benchmarks, and thresholds to ensure data integrity and track the ROI of technology investments - Stakeholder Influence:
Create and maintain recurring forums to facilitate discussion, identify risks, and gain buy-in from senior leadership and cross-functional partners - Organizational Readiness:
Lead the well-managed transition of community investment data and processes during infrastructure upgrades, ensuring no disruption to CRA compliance or investment cycles - Continuous Improvement:
Embed a culture of ongoing process refinement, educating partners on best practices for process discipline and agile adaptation
- Bachelor’s Degree or military experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in Process Management, Project Management, or Operations
- Demonstrated experience designing complex ecosystems or "Target State" operating models
- Experience partnering with Product/Tech teams to deliver automation or platform migrations
- Strong storytelling and influence skills, with the ability to translate complex process gaps into actionable business case
- Familiarity with Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) regulations or Community Finance workflows

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
Richmond, VA: $122,100 - $139,400 for Manager, Process Management
McLean, VA: $134,400 - $153,300 for Manager, Process Management
New York, NY: $146,600 - $167,300 for Manager, Process Management
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
