Irrigation Manager – Bright View, Chantilly, Fairfax County, VA.

The Irrigation Manager (IM) schedules and directs personnel and resources toward providing quality, cost‑effective irrigation services to clients. The IM supports Account Managers in estimating, design, and client meetings, sells irrigation services, oversees a commercial landscape portfolio and multiple service teams, trains and develops crew members, and provides day‑to‑day operational scheduling and guidance.

• Understanding client needs via regular communication with Account Managers.
• Managing all irrigation services, including coordination of materials, people, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Inspecting properties before scheduled service to prepare specific action plans.
• After installation and services, monitoring all aspects of the irrigation system and identifying problems.
• Performing hands‑on work with crews as needed to meet work and scheduling demands.
• Working with the Branch Manager to identify staffing needs, hire new crew, and prepare daily crew schedules.
• Ensuring proper paperwork is completed for all employee changes and new hires.
• Communicating with, counseling, training, disciplining, reviewing, and developing growth plans for employees.
• Providing hands‑on training and support of crew members, including equipment operation, pruning techniques, safety, and quality standards.
• Focusing on safety and monitoring safety records.
• Maintaining and managing all required administrative systems (time sheets, job databases, and service schedules).
• Ordering materials as needed, monitoring costs and deliveries.
• Requesting purchase orders and using them in accordance with company guidelines.
• Assisting the Branch Manager in performing irrigation sales tasks as required.

• Minimum of a 2‑year degree in a business‑related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of prior customer service, management, and leadership experience within an organization, the landscaping industry, or the local marketplace, including at least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Certifications and licenses required to perform work in the local market.
