Senior Associate, Project Management – US Card Authorizations

As a Senior Project Manager on the US Card Authorizations team, you will lead critical and strategic business projects, working closely with key stakeholders to deliver results that directly impact the company’s bottom line. • Leading moderate to large complex projects and programs
• Designing, developing, and managing project plans in a complex dynamic environment, revising needs to meet changing requirements
• Ensuring projects are documented appropriately to mitigate risk and to be delivered on time
• Leveraging problem‑solving and influencing skills to ensure project plans deliver on intent
• Partnering cross‑functionally with project customers and the Discover Governing PMO to provide tactical thought partnership to effectively drive project delivery
• Building relationships and collaborating with key stakeholders to capture updates, risks, dependencies and ensure delivery of commitments
• Demonstrating a proven track record of excellent project management, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage work in a dynamic complex environment
• Having excellent communication and partnership skills essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders at all levels across the company to manage, inform and influence outcomes
• Supporting programs and portfolio management
• Managing processes and identifying improvements
• Utilizing data to tell impactful stories to leadership, customers, and business partners

• Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience
• At least 2 years of Project Management or Business Process Management experience
• At least 1 year of Communications or Relationship Management experience
• At least 1 year of experience using Jira
• At least 2 years of experience with Tableau or Quick Sight

• 4+ years of Project Management experience
• PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Strong problem‑solving and influencing skills
• Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing GenAI applications to solve complex business problems, analyze data sets, or automate routine processes
