Sr. Director, Card Partnerships
- Head of Customer Communications Delivery & Operational Strategy. This senior business director will apply strategic and analytical skills to major company challenges, team with world‑class professionals, develop and test strategies that impact the bottom line, and work in a collaborative environment that values insight, encourages new responsibility, promotes continuous learning, and rewards innovation.
This role is in the Card Partnerships business segment within Capital One’s Card line of business which includes consumer and commercial co‑brand, PLCC and trade credit products. As Head of Customer Communications and Operational Strategy, you will lead operational strategy and transformation for Partnerships Marketing Operations, manage prioritization and delivery of all servicing and marketing collateral, and lead a team running the delivery operation.
You will build out the destination for marketing operations and transform the end‑to‑end operation while influencing product, tech and enterprise roadmaps.
- Strategic leadership: develop business strategies that drive growth, profitability, and competitive success amid shifting consumer and regulatory demands.
- Leadership: manage and develop multiple associates, coach and mentor to develop and retain talent.
- Product: develop and implement new product and pricing strategies for various lending products; lead product‑level data modeling and analytics.
- Marketing/Operations: lead marketing delivery efforts for select products and strategic intent for products distributed through internal and external partner channels; build targeted insights to inform the design and development of new customer experiences and breakthrough technology.
- Execution: manage and sequence delivery of business intent, build business requirements, and execute against the product strategy; oversee multiple projects and programs concurrently.
- Partnership: work closely with colleagues across Capital One (Product, IT, Sales, Operations, Finance) to drive improvement in quality, volume, service, and profitability.
- Strategic and analytic orientation: proven track record of decision making and problem solving based on analytics; strong quantitative orientation for data‑based decision making.
- Strong business judgment, leadership and integrity: tenacious decision maker able to bring a healthy, aggressive yet responsible approach to business.
- Strong people leadership experience: build and leverage capabilities of a high‑performing team and business partners across the enterprise; foster innovation, drive critical decisions, hold partners accountable, and consistently deliver results.
- Strong executive communication skills: impeccable written and oral communication credentials with strategic influencing skills and ability to drive agreement through intellect, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Clear results orientation: intense focus on achieving both short and long‑term goals; able to drive and execute an agenda in an uncertain and fluid environment.
- Successful track record of thriving in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial and dynamic environment. Previous consulting experience is a plus.
- Bachelor’s Degree
- At least 5 years of experience performing quantitative analysis
- At least 5 years of experience performing qualitative analysis
- At least 3 years of experience performing people management
- At least 3 years of experience performing project management
- Master’s Degree
- 5+ years of experience in people management
- 3+ years of experience in product development
- 3+ years of experience in financial modeling
- 3+ years of experience in economic forecasting
McLean, VA: $269,600 - $307,700 for Sr Business Director. Other locations have associated pay ranges. Role eligible for performance‑based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long‑term incentives (LTI).
