Our Command Center team within the BC&P Operating Office is looking for a dynamic Project Manager. This team leads the delivery for some of BC&P’s highest priority initiatives. In this exciting role, you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver and amplify BC&P’s most impactful work, solve complex problems from our distinct vantages, all while balancing strategy and tactics.
Our project work runs the gamut, some examples are: launching new products, leading updates to existing products and features, or leading foundational initiatives that enable growth.
As a Principal Associate, Project Management in BC&P Command Center, you will collaborate with smart and passionate leaders to influence results that have a direct impact on the company’s bottom line. This is a delivery-heavy role focused on the execution side of project management, where success is measured by the flawless management of routines, artifacts, and timelines that move our most critical work forward.
You will lead important and exciting projects from day one, working alongside key stakeholders across the company. Although the opportunities are endless, the core responsibilities of a Principal Associate, Project Management include:
- Lead moderate to large sized teams on high-priority initiatives and work streams that span across Business Cards and Payments and Capital One
- Design, manage, and optimize project plans and delivery roadmaps; identify and implement new routines to improve team efficiency
- Proactively weigh in on making artifacts or routines better to support evolving project needs
- Drive solutions to complex problems across cross-functional teams by applying sound business judgment to navigate trade-offs between competing priorities
- Manage a large set of stakeholders
- Effectively manage scope, schedule, resources and budget
- Communicate status, impediments, and risks/issues across all levels of the program
- Deliver results and influence business outcomes across all levels of the organization
- Influence and manage stakeholders/Intent owners across COF ranging from VP to associate
- Demonstrates the ability to look beyond established routines to identify process gaps and propose solutions.
- Be able to act as the project lead for Business Cards & Payments work streams accountable for delivery of mission critical scope for large cross functional programs
- Exhibit outstanding influencing skills to effectively drive project / program efforts
- Demonstrate a proven track record of excellent project management, including the ability to thrive in gray space and flawlessly execute in a dynamic complex environment
- Have excellent communication and partnership skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders at all levels across the company to manage, inform and influence outcomes
- Ability to set direction, manage expectations and lead cross-functional teams
- Confident, respectful, and articulate when registering dissenting opinions with colleagues and senior management
- Bachelor’s degree or military experience
- At least 3 years of project management experience
- At least 3 years of experience working, supporting or partnering with internal business clients
- At least 3 years of experience with Google Suite products
