Capital One's Regulatory Affairs team sits within the Global Enterprise Affairs function and is responsible for managing interactions with a broad set of global financial services regulators who oversee Capital One. The team champions risk management and regulatory compliance thought leadership and serves as a strategic advisor to senior management, while overseeing and contributing to regulatory interactions (e.g., onsite supervision) and external advocacy (e.g., policy development), respectively.

The International Regulatory Affairs team leads and supports these core sets of responsibilities for Capital One's international businesses, including the Discover Global Network.

We are seeking a Senior Manager with regulatory experience to play a pivotal role in architecting, scaling, and executing the team's international regulatory affairs program for Capital One. A successful candidate will have strong project management and communication skills as well as experience overseeing regulatory matters and interacting with regulators. The Senior Manager will coordinate and implement frameworks to help ensure compliance with global regulations and supporting teams managing supervisory engagement.

Primary Responsibilities Include :

• Supporting the design and implementation of Global Enterprise Affairs's strategy and program to oversee and coordinate international engagement with external stakeholders, including regulators.
• Driving internal coordination for time-sensitive international regulatory inquiries, such as requests for information, and collaborating closely with Legal Entity Management, International Markets, Finance, and Operations to ensure timely deliverables.
• Establishing and maintaining standardized routines, workflows, and governance processes in close coordination with other internal functions to support international external engagement.
• Leading the coordination of timely and accurate responses to inquiries, examinations, and reporting requirements for global regulators, particularly non-US regulatory bodies.
• Tracking, documenting, and monitoring regulatory incidents within enterprise systems of record; and supporting internal workflows for material incident reporting.
• Monitoring and supporting the remediation of regulatory issues to ensure timely resolution and mitigate regulatory risk as appropriate.
• Driving and coordinating internal reporting to senior management across the enterprise, synthesizing complex regulatory developments into clear, concise, and actionable summaries.

Basic Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of experience working with regulatory agencies, financial services institutions, government officials, consulting, or a combination.
• At least 5 Years of Project Management experience
• At least 3 years of experience working with non-U.S. regulatory agencies and regulatory policy internationally

Preferred Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience working with regulatory agencies, financial services institutions, government officials, consulting, or a combination.
