Conventional; Manual Machinist

We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to set up and operate conventional machines and equipment to fabricate precision metal parts according to customer specifications. This role requires strong attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Perform all tasks in a safe and responsible manner
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders
• Measure and verify parts using gauges and precision instruments to meet tolerance requirements
• Set up and operate manual machining equipment, including but not limited to:
  • Lathes
  • Milling machines
  • Drill presses
  • Hydraulic presses
  • Band saws
• Select, align, secure, and remove fixtures, tooling, and materials
• Identify and properly use inserts, fixtures, and cutting tools
• Fabricate and shape metal and other materials to specifications
• Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance on equipment
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with safety standards
• Support team objectives and production goals as needed

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• 2-3 years of manual machining experience
• Basic computer skills

• Strong understanding of machining tools, equipment, and maintenance
• Knowledge of metals, alloys, and material properties
• Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with manufacturing processes
• Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Experience using hoists or overhead cranes to move materials
• Strong attention to detail and quality control
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Capable of working independently after training

• Standard work week with flexibility for 8- or 10-hour shifts
