About

the role

The Marketing Operations Specialist owns the systems, processes, and data infrastructure that power First Gen Financial's marketing function. This role is responsible for building and maintaining the marketing tech stack, managing campaign operations, and ensuring marketing data is clean, connected, and actionable for leadership decision-making. Reporting directly to the CEO/COO, this is a high-visibility, hands-on individual contributor role for someone who wants to bring structure and scalability to a growing marketing function.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and manage the marketing technology stack (CRM, marketing automation, analytics tools), ensuring systems are integrated and functioning efficiently.
  • Build, manage, and optimize marketing workflows, campaign operations, and lead routing processes.
  • Partner with Sales and Customer Success to ensure clean handoffs of leads and accurate attribution across the funnel.
  • Own marketing data integrity — tracking, reporting, and dashboards that give leadership visibility into pipeline, campaign performance, and ROI.
  • Manage marketing calendars, project timelines, and cross-functional coordination to keep campaigns and launches on track.
  • Identify opportunities to automate repetitive marketing processes and improve operational efficiency.
  • Support budget tracking and vendor management for marketing tools and programs.
  • Collaborate with leadership to translate business goals into measurable marketing operations priorities.
  • Document processes and playbooks to support consistency and scalability as the marketing function grows.
  • CRM and Marketing Automation experience required (Hubspot, Pipedrive, Marketo, Activecampaign
Qualifications Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in marketing operations, demand generation operations, or a related role, ideally in SaaS, fintech, or technology-driven environments.
  • Experience owning a marketing tech stack (e.g., Hub Spot, Marketo, Salesforce, or similar) from an operations/admin perspective.
  • Experience with financial services, insurance, or benefits industries a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to build reporting and dashboards that drive decision-making.
  • Process-oriented mindset with a track record of building or improving marketing systems and workflows.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Comfort working cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Success, and executive leadership.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to operate independently and bring structure to ambiguity in a fast-paced, growing environment.
Other Requirements
  • Occasional travel may be required for team or company offsites.
  • Fully remote role.
  • Base compensation:75, + 10% Annual Bonus
