Vinson Hall (VH), a premier Continuing Care Retirement Community located in McLean, VA, is seeking an energetic and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Memory Care team. Vinson Hall is known for providing exceptional care and services to older adults across a full continuum of care, including independent living, assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing. Our community is dedicated to fostering a supportive, respectful, and engaging environment for both residents and team members.
This position will primarily support residents in our Memory Care setting, while also providing care across other departments within the community as needed. The ideal candidate is clinically skilled, patient, and compassionate, with a strong understanding of caring for individuals with dementia and other cognitive impairments. This role requires a person-centered approach focused on dignity, safety, and enhancing residents' quality of life.

* Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current LPN licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
* Current CPR certification. One year experience in medical/surgical area or Long-Term Care and/or Assisted Living Facility (ALF) preferred.
* Experience with geriatrics preferred.
Responsibilities:
* Provides direct resident care, furnishing guidance for continuous contributions to resident assessments, interacting with the physician to implement changes and updates.
* Assists with coordinating pharmacy services for residents with local military and civilian pharmacies.
* Administers and documents medications and treatments.
* As a Charge Nurse, supervises subordinate personnel, answering questions and guiding work.
* Oversees the on-going assessments of residents, with appropriate interaction as indicated, monitors documentation of condition and any changes.
* Conducts "rounds" as necessary to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
* Provides appropriate leadership for the intervention and documentation of emergency situations.
