Combining advanced clinical medicine with hospital-wide leadership, this position offers the opportunity to influence medical standards, mentor doctors and continue managing complex cases within a highly collaborative specialty environment.

This long-established, AAHA-accredited specialty and emergency hospital operates 24/7 and brings together a multidisciplinary team of board-certified specialists, emergency clinicians, Licensed Veterinary Technicians and experienced clinical support professionals.

The multidisciplinary environment allows complex cases to be managed collaboratively across specialty and emergency services, with clinicians benefiting from direct access to expertise across multiple disciplines.

Licensed Veterinary Technicians, care coordinators and dedicated ER leadership provide strong clinical and operational support. The hospital also maintains a teaching-focused environment with rotating interns, structured mentorship and opportunities for doctors to contribute to clinical education.

As Specialty Medical Director, you'll combine an active clinical caseload with responsibility for the continued development of medical standards across the hospital.

• Provide medical leadership across specialty and emergency services
• Maintain an active clinical caseload and manage complex cases
• Develop and monitor medical protocols and quality standards
• Promote collaboration between ER and specialty teams
• Lead doctor meetings and multidisciplinary case discussions
• Support intern education, mentorship and clinical development
• Oversee medical record quality and continuity of care
• Improve case handoffs, rounds and communication between services
• Oversee controlled substance and pharmacy protocols
• Evaluate clinical workflows from intake through discharge
• Partner with hospital leadership on strategic planning
• Contribute to equipment, inventory and capital investment decisions
• Support ongoing quality and efficiency improvements

Flexible scheduling is available, including 3- or 4-day workweek options, providing greater flexibility alongside the responsibilities of senior clinical leadership.

• Compensation up to $310,000
