Overview of the Role
The Business Development Representative (BDR) role is part of our Sales Development Organization — the engine behind new business growth at Salesforce, the #1 AI CRM. We are looking for a motivated BDR to partner with our outbound sales teams, drive pipeline through strategic prospecting, and launch a high‑impact sales career at a company leading the agentic era.
Responsibilities- Generate new business pipeline through outbound prospecting and cold calling across existing Salesforce customers and net new logos in an assigned territory.
- Partner with account teams to identify and source pipeline by researching lines of business, personas, and key decision makers.
- Manage and nurture inbound leads and early-stage opportunities driven by outbound efforts.
- Participate in an intensive sales training program designed to build the foundational skills needed for a long-term career in sales.
- Experience with outbound prospecting, cold calling, and account research across a mix of new and existing accounts.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage decision makers at multiple levels.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Consistent track record of meeting or exceeding goals and metrics.
- 1–2 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field.
- Experience with account planning and working a hybrid list of net‑new and existing install accounts.
- Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools.
In the United States, compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, job level, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience.
