Account Executive – Appian
Appian is a leading provider of process automation technology, helping large enterprises and governments streamline complex processes. In this role, you will be a trusted advisor to enterprise customers, driving digital transformation by selling our Appian solutions.
Responsibilities- Navigate complex accounts and lead the entire sales cycle (approximately 6‑12 months) from prospecting to close.
- Develop and execute top‑of‑funnel activities, including in‑person and virtual presentations to LOB and IT audiences.
- Identify and engage multiple stakeholders across the customer and partner ecosystems, leveraging internal resources and the customer success team.
- Perform client discovery, communicate ROI, and build business value to position Appian against competitors.
- Maintain a trusted advisor relationship with customers and colleagues throughout complex deals.
- 5–10+ years of direct selling experience, including a minimum of 2 years as an Enterprise Account Executive selling complex technologies to federal health agencies.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Experience navigating a multi‑stage sales cycle, leveraging cross‑functional internal and external resources.
- Platform sales experience with strong presentation skills.
- Demonstrated history of consistent quota achievement and new customer logo acquisition.
