The Salesforce Marketing Cloud AE is a subject‑matter expert and trusted advisor who works with Federal Civilian prospects and customers to evangelize marketing platform solutions that deliver relevant, personalized journeys across channels and devices. The role is quota‑carrying, involves both team collaboration and individual contribution, and focuses on the full Salesforce Marketing technology stack.
Responsibilities- Be the subject matter expert for how Federal Civilian institutions leverage Salesforce Marketing solutions within their enterprise
- Work effectively as a team player
- Ensure 100% customer satisfaction and retention
- Maintain accurate account and opportunity forecasting
- Drive brand awareness, campaigns, and lead generation via networking, associations, etc.
- Meet and exceed all quarterly and annual sales quotas
- Own the sales cycle for the entire Salesforce Marketing technology stack – including lead generation, deal strategy, pricing and packaging, and assistance with deal closure
- Generate business opportunities through networking, cold‑calling, and prospecting in current Salesforce customers
- Create and drive revenue within a specified region and/or list of named accounts
- Collaborate with Account and Territory teams to identify target accounts
- Empower and enable the broader Account team on all Salesforce Marketing technology
- 10+ years of full‑cycle Enterprise software or technology sales experience
- Experience selling Marketing technology is a plus
- Degree or equivalent relevant experience required; experience evaluated against role values and behaviors (e.g., extracurricular leadership, military, volunteer, work experience)
- Proven track record in account management, preferably selling into Federal Civilian accounts such as DOT and Dept. of Education
- Willingness and ability to travel to client locations as required
- Self‑motivated with commitment to achieving and exceeding sales targets
