Weekend Farmers Market Sales Associate
Chia Craze is seeking a friendly, reliable, and sales‑driven weekend farmers market sales associate to represent our growing refrigerated food brand at farmers markets throughout Northern Virginia and the DMV area.
This position is ideal for someone with strong sales and customer‑service skills who enjoys engaging with people, building customer relationships, and working toward sales goals. You will independently manage the Chia Craze booth while creating a welcoming, organized, and professional experience for customers.
Responsibilities- Set up and break down the farmers market booth
- Warmly greet customers and provide excellent in‑person customer service
- Explain Chia Craze products, ingredients, benefits, and pricing
- Confidently engage potential customers and encourage purchases
- Recommend products based on customer preferences
- Answer questions and address customer concerns professionally
- Process payments accurately using our point‑of‑sale system
- Maintain a clean, organized, fully stocked, and visually appealing booth
- Monitor inventory and report sales totals after each market
- Represent Chia Craze with enthusiasm and consistent brand messaging
- Occasionally take photos or short videos for social media
- Strong sales and customer‑service skills
- Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable approaching new people
- Confident explaining products and encouraging customers to purchase
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Customer‑focused attitude with the ability to build positive relationships
- Motivated to meet sales goals and earn performance‑based incentives
- Reliable, punctual, organized, and able to work independently
- Available on weekend mornings
- Reliable transportation to rotating farmers market locations
- Comfortable standing and working outdoors for several hours
- Able to lift and transport coolers, tables, tents, and other market supplies
- Previous sales, retail, food‑service, or customer‑service experience is preferred
This is a part‑time, seasonal weekend position averaging approximately 5–12 hours per week, depending on the number of scheduled markets. Market locations may rotate throughout Northern Virginia and the DMV area.
Compensation includes a guaranteed hourly base rate plus performance‑based commission, providing additional earning potential based on market sales.
