Security Officer Clearance Required Patrol Specialist

Location: Mc Lean, VA

As a part‑time Security Officer, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to deter security‑related incidents, support a welcoming environment through strong communication and customer service, and assist with assigned security‑related duties such as checking credentials, observing equipment, and communicating with site contacts.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $26.92 / Hour

Job Schedule: Sat and Sun 03:00 PM – 11:00 PM

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by following site‑specific procedures and supporting appropriate emergency response activities at a technology‑focused location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through established communication channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, and perimeter locations to help identify potential issues and support security‑related protocols.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and/or sensitive areas in accordance with posted instructions, helping to deter unauthorized entry and support orderly site operations.
• Assist with assigned security‑related duties such as checking credentials, observing equipment and facility conditions, and communicating with site contacts regarding routine and/or urgent matters.

• Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security‑related experience or a college degree.
• Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles; 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
