What You Will Do- Serve as a Physical Security Associate supporting day-to‑day physical security operations for Guidehouse National Capital Region (NCR) offices, with daily on‑site presence during business hours.
- Perform access control tasks including badge profile creation, programming, printing, revocation, troubleshooting, and visitor management.
- Review video footage and document findings to support internal investigations.
- Respond to alarm activity in accordance with internal policy, procedures, and vendor agreements.
- Complete regular internal audits of physical security systems.
- Support the Physical Security team with external inspection preparation.
- Maintain and provide weekly access control and alarm monitoring metrics to the Physical Security Manager.
- Conduct regular patrols of general access areas and controlled environments to identify risks and non‑compliance.
- Ensure applicable controls are in place to meet or exceed regulatory and client requirements.
- Partner with the Physical Security team to assess requirements for new office projects and help ensure project deadlines are met.
- Execute and communicate security incident notifications when authorized by management.
- Support the Insider Threat Program in accordance with internal policy and procedures.
- Support the Crisis Response Manager in accordance with internal policy and procedures.
- Provide ad‑hoc on‑site presence as needed to respond to crisis events during non‑business hours.
- Submit vendor service tickets and meet with technicians for repairs, maintenance, and inspections.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Two (2) or more years of relevant experience in a physical security program.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Working knowledge of access control systems, video monitoring systems, and intrusion detection systems.
- Excellent communications skills, both oral and written.
- A CURRENT and ACTIVE SECRET federal security clearance.
- Bachelor's degree.
- THREE (3) or more years of relevant experience, including at least one year within an accredited secure area.
- Experience with Lenel OnGuard, Datawatch, and My Kastle.
