Clearance

Requirement

Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD TS clearance with SCI eligibility. Active clearance within the last 24 months is preferred. DoD reciprocal clearances after verification are not considered.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as an escort within restricted spaces.
  • Review and maintain access‑control systems.
  • Issue and monitor employee and visitor credentials.
  • Prepare and process visit authorization requests/letters (VARs/VALs).
  • Perform Per Sec (Personnel Security) administrative functions, including but not limited to: DISS administrative functions—submit visit authorization, in‑process, indoctrinate, debrief, out‑process employees, submit CSRs, and generate reports.
  • Communicate status updates to the FSO, program leaders, employees undergoing eligibility vetting, and respond to general service‑center inquiries.
  • Keep the FSO apprised of and aligned with all program‑security concerns and tasks.
  • Perform security briefings/debriefings.
  • Process requests for special access.
  • Submit electronic fingerprints through SWFT.
  • Manage the document‑control database (SIMS) for incoming and outgoing classified material; ensure all classified material is properly accounted for, controlled, transmitted, transported, packaged, safeguarded, and destroyed in accordance with the NISPOM and contractual requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 6 years as a Per Sec (Personnel Security) administrator.
  • Experience in a high‑paced corporate environment.
  • Experience working in a security service center (a plus).
  • Strong teamwork, partnership, and open communication skills.
  • Execution of responsibilities with urgency, sound judgment, and the highest level of ethical and professional standards.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changes in the work environment and maintain a professional demeanor.
  • Demonstrated time‑management and organization skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work well under stress despite frequent interruptions.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and resolve practical problems.
  • Effectiveness and tactful communication with a wide variety of individuals via phone, in person, and in writing.
  • Positive "can‑do" attitude and willingness to "jump in."
  • Strong multitasking skills.
  • Strong computer skills in Word processing, spreadsheets, and intermediate knowledge of MS Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Personnel Security, Government, or Industry experience.
  • Proficiency in DISS, NISS, and ACCS.
  • Knowledge and practical implementation of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (32 CFR Part 117).
  • Experience with SIMS, Trust Visitor, Cure, First Advantage, or similar Per Sec platforms.
  • Strong oral, written, and presentation skills and the ability to relay technical information to others.
  • Strong MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
