Armed Security Guard - Former Military

• Flex schedule with availability for mornings, evenings, and overnight shifts; days off may vary and weekends are required.
• Primary role as an armed Tactical Officer with occasional unarmed coverage for training and events.

• Maintain a commanding presence to deter potential threats.
• Respond to active shooter, hostage, bomb threat, and other high‑risk situations.
• Serve as the first point of contact for police, fire, and EMS.
• Maintain excellent marksmanship and weapon handling skills; participate in live‑fire and tactical scenario training.
• Demonstrate proficiency in handgun operation, assembly/disassembly, and situational awareness.
• Deliver outstanding customer service while remaining vigilant.
• Survey, observe, and provide detailed reports on assigned location.
• Rapidly respond in critical situations and enforce customer procedures.
• Patrol sensitive areas, verify identities, control access, monitor alarms and cameras, document incidents, and conduct on‑site checks.
• Ensure safety and protection of individuals and property.

• At least 3 years of customer service experience.
• At least 1 year of Microsoft Office or Google Workspace experience.
• Minimum 3 years of U.S. military service with honorable discharge or U.S. police officer experience.
• Minimum 2 years of verifiable armed DCJS experience.
• Ability to multitask and synthesize large amounts of information quickly.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Active armed DCJS with handgun endorsement.
• Pass an extensive background check, online armed assessments, gun range assessment, drug and physical assessments, and required trainings.
• Proficient in computer skills including Microsoft Office.
• Display soft skills and manage diverse personalities.
• Maintain an excellent uniform appearance.
• Pass a physical fitness test (running, push‑ups, sit‑ups, step‑ups).
• Pass baseline trainings, yearly refreshers, and psychological exams.
• First‑aid certification is an asset.

• High school education or equivalent (GED); college degree/transcript is a plus.
• Ability to pass extensive background screening and drug test.
• Minimum age 21 years old.
