IAP World Services, an Intrepid Global Solutions company, is a recognized leader in Facilities Management and Operations in support of Defense, Intelligence, and National Security missions

Under a major Intelligence Community contract, IAP operates and maintains facilities, systems, and associated grounds across Virginia and Maryland. Services provided include comprehensive facility operations; project management for renovations, minor construction, and major equipment repairs; engineering, construction, and operations support; custodial and grounds maintenance services; environmental, safety, and occupational health support; food services; motorpool and logistics operations; and physical and technical security services.

As the Certified Locksmith, you will be installing, maintaining, repairing, and securing mechanical and electromechanical locking systems in high-security environments. This role requires exceptional technical skill, discretion, and strict adherence to security protocols to protect classified facilities, information, and personnel.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Install, maintain, inspect, and repair high-security locking systems, safes, vaults, doors, and access control hardware

Service and troubleshoot mechanical, electronic, and electromechanical locking devices

Perform lock rekeying, combination changes, and key control management in accordance with security directives

Support secure facility construction, renovation, and decommissioning projects

Conduct routine inspections to ensure compliance with federal, agency, and intelligence community security standards

Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, key inventories, and access changes

Respond to emergency lockouts or security incidents as required

Coordinate with security officers, engineers, and facilities personnel to resolve vulnerabilities

Protect classified information and follow all handling, storage, and operational security procedures

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Certified Locksmith (e.g., ALOA, SAVTA, or equivalent recognized certification)
Minimum 3 years of professional locksmith experience, preferably in government, military, or high-security environments

Demonstrated experience with high-security locking systems and key control programs

Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
