Commercial Diver; Virginia

McLean Contracting Company is looking to hire Commercial Divers to join our team in the Chesapeake, VA area. Commercial Divers are responsible for completing underwater construction activities using surface supplied air gear to inspect, repair, remove, or install equipment and/or structures, and use a variety of power and hand tools, such as drills, hammers, torches, and welding equipment.

Ideal candidates will have 2+ years of related experience, and a comprehensive knowledge of diving equipment and industry requirements. Must be proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools and welding equipment.

Must be at least 18 years old, have reliable transportation to work and able to pass a physical. Must be able to pass a Homeland Security background check to qualify for a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC).

• Commercial Dive School Diploma and four dive logs.
• Current ADC Dive Physical (Physicians Signature) required.
• Current CPR/First Aid/AED from a certified facility required.
• Current TWIC Card required.
• Current Emergency O2 Certificate from a certified facility required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Current HAZWOPER, OSHA 10 Hour or OSHA 30 Hour Certificate preferred.
• Current ADC Card preferred.
