Position: Electrician Grade II with Security Clearance
Amentum is seeking an Electrician - Grade II to join our team in McLean, VA! JOB FUNCTION:
Repair, replace, install, adjust, and maintain electrical systems under direct supervision of higher electrical classifications. MAJOR

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Install conduit, piping, wiring, and associated materials for maintenance of utilities equipment and/or renovations, modifications of existing equipment of new or old electrical systems.
* Perform preventive maintenance, repair, or replacement of electrical equipment on AC and/or DC systems.
* Install switches, receptacles, plates, and covers on de-energized circuits.
* Perform tests for proper grounds and voltages on energized 600v circuits.
* Install voltage circuits for door buzzers, releases, alarms, etc., and associated equipment.
* Perform other job-related duties, as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Working knowledge of national and local electrical codes.
* Ability to comprehend written and oral instructions.
* A willingness to work rotational shift if necessary, including days, evenings, and nights, as well as overtime, weekends, and holidays, as required.

EXPERIENCE:

Two years' experience in the electrical trade in maintenance and/or construction required.

EDUCATION:

High school, technical school, apprenticeship, trade school graduate or equivalent required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* NFPA-70E Training.
* OSHA 10 Training
* CPR Training
* Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients,
* and other employees of the organization. SECURITY:
Must be a U.S. Citizen, able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret Security Clearance. PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Incumbents may work in conditions that require operating industrial machinery/power tools and motor vehicles. Additionally, incumbents may participate in work that requires walking, bending, squatting, and carrying materials throughout the facility. Workplace conditions necessitate following strict safety guidelines and the use of Personal Protective Equipment. Work tasks requiring the incumbent to lift weight more than 50 pounds requires two or more persons.
