Facilities Technician

Our client, a leading organization in facility management services, is seeking a Facilities Technician to join their team. As a Facilities Technician, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting facility operations and ensuring the optimal performance of building systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical proficiency, problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Operating Engineer 2

Location: McLean, VA

Pay Range: $30-34/hour

Shift: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am - 5:30 pm

• Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment across all systems to ensure continuous operation.
• Perform preventive maintenance and monitor repairs on Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Fire, Life Safety, and Control systems.
• Record readings, make adjustments, and calibrate equipment to maintain optimal performance levels.
• Maintain safety standards by adhering to departmental policies for hazardous materials and workplace safety.
• Monitor the quality and cost of work performed by external contractors and ensure compliance with safety procedures.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 2-4 years of experience maintaining and repairing commercial building systems.
• Ability to analyze and troubleshoot Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• EPA 608 Type II Certification required; EPA 608 Universal Certification preferred.
• Proficiency in computer applications such as Word and Excel.
