Java Lead

Overview

Akkodis is seeking a Java Lead for a Contract with a client in McLean, VA
. You will lead the design of AWS‑based microservices and serverless architectures, while driving CI/CD automation and cloud best practices.

Rate Range: $53/hour to $56/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of Java‑based web applications using AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, and Dynamo
  
  DB.
• Architect and implement cloud‑native and serverless solutions leveraging API Gateway, Lambda, Step Functions, ECS, EKS, and Fargate.
• Design and develop RESTful APIs, ensuring scalability, security, and high performance across distributed systems.
• Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using AWS Code Pipeline, Code Build, and Code Deploy for automated deployments and testing.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance using Cloud Watch and X‑Ray, ensuring high availability and reliability.
• Implement and enforce AWS security best practices including IAM, KMS, Cloud Trail, backup, and disaster recovery strategies using S3 and EBS.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of hands‑on experience in Java application development, with proven technical leadership in enterprise environments.
• Deep expertise in advanced Java concepts and building cloud‑native and serverless applications on AWS, including Lambda, API Gateway, ECS/EKS, and Dynamo
  
  DB.
• Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and AWS security best practices, including Code Pipeline, Cloud Formation, IAM, and monitoring tools.

Pay Details: $53.00 to $56.00 per hour
