Pay Rate: $80 -$90/hr.
Position DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer to join a cutting-edge engineering team within a Chief Technology Office environment. This role focuses on building and scaling a next-generation software-defined platform that supports advanced capabilities such as Physical AI, Edge Computing, Trusted Environments, and autonomous systems across mission-critical domains. In this position, you will have the opportunity to design, build, deploy, and operate secure, always‑on, cloud‑native software services from the ground up.
You will work in a fast‑paced, innovation‑driven environment with significant autonomy and ownership, leveraging modern architectures, open‑source technologies, and generative AI tools. The ideal candidate is a proactive, high‑impact engineer who thrives in complex technical environments and is passionate about delivering resilient, scalable, and secure solutions.
- Design, develop, deploy, and operate high‑availability, production‑grade software applications
- Architect secure, scalable, and high-performance backend systems using modern cloud‑native patterns
- Contribute across the full stack, using languages such as Go, Java, Node.js, or C#
- Build and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices in distributed or serverless architectures
- Work with relational and No
SQL databases including Postgre
SQL, MySQL, Mongo
DB, and DynamoDB - Implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, telemetry, monitoring, and alerting
- Apply best practices for code quality, performance, security, and maintainability
- Integrate generative AI tools to accelerate development and enhance product design
- Collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and product stakeholders from concept to delivery
- Embed security, compliance, and resiliency requirements throughout the development lifecycle
- Clearly communicate technical designs and trade‑offs to both technical and non‑technical audiences
- 5+ years of experience building and operating production‑grade software applications
- 5+ years of hands‑on development experience with Go, Java, Node.js, or C#
- 3+ years of experience with distributed systems, microservices, or serverless architectures in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- 3+ years of experience working with SQL and No
SQL databases - Strong experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs
- Hands‑on experience with CI/CD tools and modern Dev Ops practices
Solid understanding of authentication, authorization, and secure software design - Experience using generative AI tools for coding acceleration, automation, or code review
- Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience, or 5+ years of experience in lieu of a degree
- Ability to maintain an active TS/SCI clearance
- Active TS/SCI clearance at time of hire
- Experience developing new applications or enhancing existing platforms
- Exposure to workflow automation and process optimization
- Experience with automated testing frameworks
- Master’s degree in a related field
- AWS Certifications (Cloud Practitioner, Developer Associate, Solutions Architect Associate)
