Sr. Python Developer - Backend

We are seeking a Senior Python Developer to support the design, development, and enhancement of both customer-facing and internal applications and services. This role involves building new features, refactoring existing code, resolving defects, reducing technical debt, and supporting migration efforts across the software lifecycle.

• Design, develop, refactor, test, and support backend applications and services for financial engineering platforms
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code, including unit and integration tests
• Identify and resolve defects while proactively addressing technical debt
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across application and infrastructure layers
• Support infrastructure upgrades and adoption of new technologies
• Contribute to thoughtful design decisions and continuous improvement of engineering practices

• Strong experience building efficient batch processes for high-volume analytics and valuation requests using financial engine APIs
• Solid SQL experience across modern database platforms and end-to-end project delivery
• Extensive hands-on experience with Python and libraries/frameworks such as Pandas, Num Py, Gunicorn, Celery, SQL Alchemy, and Flask or FastAPI
• At least 5 years of professional Python development experience, including application design, data processing, and object-oriented design patterns
• Proven experience with Python concurrency and long-running batch processes backed by databases, including operational features such as cancel, restart, resume, status polling, and recovery at scale
• Strong problem-solving skills, sound business judgment, and experience working in Agile development environments

• Graduate degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Experience in financial accounting, fixed income, or capital markets
