Job Summary
Senior Python Developer who will lead the integration of a custom application with client‑based systems. The role requires working cross‑functionally in an Agile environment, building FastAPI endpoints, creating microservices, and collaborating on both front‑end and back‑end development.
Responsibilities- Work cross‑functionally in an Agile environment
- Build FastAPI endpoints for content display
- Create microservices
- Develop front‑end and back‑end code
- Mentor peers and junior developers in Python design
- Build ETL processes
- Operate in a highly collaborative environment
- Manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Work independently and collaboratively as needed
- Utilize interpersonal and strong communication skills
- Work directly with the Project Manager to support emerging client needs
- 8+ years of solid Python development experience
- 8+ years of overall (OOP) programming experience
- Bachelor's degree (or 2 additional years of experience)
- API development and integration experience
- Experience with microservices
- Experience with JavaScript and jQuery
- Experience with search engines such as Solr or Elasticsearch
- Experience designing and developing enterprise web and search systems
- Experience with enterprise database technologies such as Postgres and MySQL
- Experience building and managing container technologies such as Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, etc.
- Comfortable working with open source‑based solutions
- Familiar with enterprise use of Python
- Expertise in continuous integration/continuous delivery solutions
- Experience with large‑scale AWS‑based solutions and Terraform
- Proficiency in an Agile environment
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related field
- Experience working with the federal government
- Experience with FastAPI (highly preferred)

Travel RequirementsRemote position; occasional travel may be required, less than 10% of the time, based on project needs, client meetings, team collaboration events, or training sessions.
U.S. Work AuthorizationApplicants must be U.S. citizens or currently authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis. Sponsorship is not available. The position supports a federal government contract and requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or suitability determination depending on the agency’s background investigation requirements.
