The opportunityOur Government & Public Sector (GPS) Digital Engineering practice is helping organizations solve complex problems through purpose‑led transformation. You will join a talented group of professionals advising U.S. government agencies with digital strategy, customer experience, process improvement, technology effectiveness, digital architecture and program integration.
Your key responsibilities- Collaborate with clients to gather and analyze requirements, ensuring that the final product meets their needs.
- Design and develop user interfaces that are functional and enhance user experience.
- Write clean, maintainable code and create specifications that support business objectives.
- Actively participate in the design of software components, translating requirements into technical design and tasks.
- Interact and communicate effectively with teammates, clients, stakeholders, and executives.
- Assist in providing estimates on assigned tasks.
- Independently write quality code that is simple, reliable, and scalable.
- Analyze and fix moderate to complex problems during development and support, documenting and communicating results appropriately.
- Participate in white‑boarding sessions and impact analysis and explore methods and tools to improve the overall development process.
- Learn new client information quickly, translating data modeling, process modeling, and revision control systems.
- Maintain a strong understanding of agile delivery and development methodologies.
- Demonstrate proficiency in application development tools and quality assurance practices.
- Experience gathering and analyzing requirements.
- Design and develop user interfaces.
- Participate in the design of software components.
- Interact and communicate effectively with teammates, clients, stakeholders, and executives.
- Write quality code independently.
- Learn new client information quickly, translating data modeling, process modeling, and revision control systems.
- Strong understanding of agile delivery and development methodologies.
- Proficiency in application development tools and quality assurance practices.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
- Experience with Microsoft Power Pages (Portals) and Liquid.
- Experience integrating with external systems.
- 5+ years of relevant total experience.
- Comfortable working in‑person as needed.
Due to the nature of our work in the Government and Public Sector, work may be required to be completed at client, EY and/or contractor sites, with travel possibly exceeding 20–30% of the time.
Ideally, you’ll also have- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate with clients and identify engagement follow‑on opportunities.
