Senior Software Engineer - Frontend

Based at one of our corporate offices in Memphis, TN, McLean, VA, or Dallas, TX.

This is your chance to be part of an in‑house Technology team that’s creating consumer‑facing, cutting‑edge technologies revolutionising the hospitality industry around the world. As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll bring your technical skills to a hospitality company with an award‑winning culture and work on engineers reporting to the Senior Manager on the Web‑Software Engineering Team.

• Develop and deliver front‑end assets for Hilton’s websites, including component development, writing unit tests and bug fixes, and ensuring compliance with web accessibility and platform standards.
• Follow the defined Agile framework to deliver industry‑leading front‑end web solutions with premier quality and performance.
• Accept and demonstrate core principles of front‑end development practices and ensure these principles are followed throughout the team.
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, delivery managers, quality engineers, designers, and other developers to design and implement the Hilton web application experience.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including grooming sessions, daily stand‑ups, retrospectives, and code reviews.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well‑documented code for UI components and contribute to reusable code libraries.
• Write unit tests and end‑to‑end tests, ensuring test coverage meets minimum criteria and mimics user behavior.

Required:

• Three (3) years of professional work experience in Technology or a related field.
• Two (2) years of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript experience.
• One (1) year of React experience.
• Experience building websites with Word Press.
• Familiarity with PHP.
• Familiarity with AI‑powered development tools.
• Hybrid role requiring presence near one of the US office locations (McLean, Dallas, Memphis).
• Travel up to 10% annually.

Desired:

• Bachelor’s Degree, or Associate’s Degree plus 6 years of Technology related experience, or High School Degree/GED plus 12 years of Technology related experience.
• Three (3) years of HTML, CSS and JavaScript experience.
• Two (2) years of experience working with React.
• Experience building websites with Word Press as a headless CMS.
• Experience maintaining PHP code.
• Practical experience using AI‑powered solutions to streamline development processes or deliver innovative features.
