Position Overview
At Freddie Mac, you will do important work to build a better housing finance system and you'll be part of a team helping to make home ownership and rental housing more accessible and affordable across the nation.
We want to welcome an experienced Python developer onto our Financial Engineering Team! This is the place where the models become software, where many of the numbers that drive our business decisions are produced.

- 5-7+ years of relevant professional experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Strong programming experience developing and testing in Python
- 4+ years of demonstrated experience developing RESTful APIs using frameworks such as Flask, FastAPI etc. in a professional environment
- Experience writing automated unit, integration, regression, performance and acceptance tests
- Working knowledge of automated CI/CD processes and tools like Jenkins, Docker
- Solid understanding of software design principles
- Back End
Skills:
Python, Flask/FastAPI/Django, Pandas, Num Py and Relational Database - Automation Testing: pytest, unittest, monkey patch, pytest-mockito etc.
- Build CI/CD Tools:
Gradle, Jenkins, Git, Conda, pip, Jira, Git Lab, Confluence - Dev Ops:
Linux and Docker
This position has an annualized market‑based salary range of $122,000 – $182,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
