Senior Software Engineer Overview

We’re looking for a passionate, full‑stack software engineer to work with a fast‑paced, highly collaborative team building and launching capability for enterprise web‑based systems in the cybersecurity field. You’ll have the opportunity to work on automation of nation‑level, mission‑critical security processes, workflows, and sensor data in risk management, compliance, vulnerability management, and continuous monitoring.

• Break down customer requirements and design solutions to complex business rules.
• Develop robust, secure, performant, production‑grade features; test system functionality and document it.
• Modernize and refactor traditional web application components using web technologies, configuration management, software, and data.
• Collaborate with analysts and engineers to build, test, and operate system capabilities.
• Work independently on features while collaborating with the team for code reviews and problem solving.

• 5+ years of experience with requirements, development, and testing of complex web application features.
• 5+ years of experience with object‑oriented programming such as C# or Java.
• 3+ years of experience with high‑scale relational databases in production such as SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Cloud, Containers, System Administration (AWS or Azure), Docker or Kubernetes, and Windows Server.
• Knowledge of web technologies, applications, software systems and networks, and software security.
• Secret clearance (required).
• Bachelor’s degree (required).

• Experience with C#, .NET Core, Web API, IIS, MVC, LINQ or Entity Framework.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Github Actions.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Power Shell or Python.
• Experience with pub/sub tools such as RabbitMQ or Kafka.
• Experience modernizing software such as migration to React or Vue.
• Experience migrating traditional web applications to Cloud (Azure or AWS).
• Top Secret clearance.
• Master’s degree.
• DoD 8570 IAT II certification (e.g., Security+).

The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $ (annualized USD). Salary is determined by factors such as location, education, skills, competencies and experience, as well as contract‑specific affordability and organizational requirements.
