We are seeking Salesforce Software Engineers who are passionate about marrying data with emerging technologies.
As a Capital One Software Engineer, you’ll have the opportunity to be on the forefront of driving a major transformation within Capital One.
- Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers with deep experience in distributed micro‑services and full‑stack systems.
- Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal and external technology communities, mentoring other members of the engineering community, and from time to time, be asked to code or evaluate code.
- Collaborate with digital product managers and deliver robust cloud‑based solutions that drive powerful experiences to help millions of Americans achieve financial empowerment.
- Utilize coding languages such as Python, JavaScript (Angular, React, Node), HTML/CSS, Type Script, SQL, and Java, as well as Salesforce development technologies including Apex, Native, Visual Force, Lightning framework, SOQL, REST & SOAP APIs, and RESTful web services.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- At least 4 years of experience in software engineering (internship experience does not apply).
- At least 4 years of experience in Salesforce.
- At least 1 year of experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).
- Master’s Degree.
- Salesforce Certified Developer or Salesforce Certified Administrator certification.
- 5+ years of experience in at least one of the following:
Salesforce development with Apex, Native, Visual Force, Lightning framework, SOQL. - 5+ years of Python experience.
- 2+ years of experience in Agile practices.
- Experience leveraging interactive AI tooling to accelerate productivity, utilizing capabilities beyond basic code completion.

Salary ranges by location:
- Sales Territory: $179,400 – $204,700
- McLean, VA: $197,300 – $225,100
- New York, NY: $215,200 – $245,600
- Plano, TX: $179,400 – $204,700
- Richmond, VA: $179,400 – $204,700
Applicants hired in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary offered will be reflected in the offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance‑based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonuses and/or long‑term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non‑discretionary depending on the plan.
