Lead Data Engineer - Risk Tech (Python, AWS)

• Collaborate with Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support full‑stack technical solutions.
• Work with developers experienced in machine learning, distributed microservices, and full‑stack systems.
• Utilize programming languages such as Java, Scala, Python and open‑source RDBMS and No
  
  SQL databases.
• Develop cloud‑based data warehousing solutions using Redshift, Snowflake, and other AWS services.
• Stay on top of technology trends, experiment with new tools, and share findings with internal and external technology communities.
• Mentor other engineering community members and contribute to continuous learning.
• Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud‑based solutions that support millions of Americans seeking financial empowerment.
• Perform unit tests, conduct peer reviews, and ensure code is rigorously designed, elegantly written, and optimally tuned for performance.

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• At least 4 years of application development experience (internship experience does not apply).
• At least 2 years of experience with big data technologies.
• At least 1 year of experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud).

• 7+ years of application development experience in Python, SQL, Golang, Java, or Scala.
• 4+ years of experience with a public cloud (AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud).
• 4+ years of experience with distributed data/computing tools (Map Reduce, Flink, EMR, Kafka, Spark, or MySQL).
• 4+ years of experience with real‑time data and streaming applications.
• 4+ years of experience with SQL implementation (PostgreSQL) and No
  
  SQL implementation (DynamoDB).
• 4+ years of data warehousing experience (Snowflake or Redshift).
• 4+ years of experience with UNIX/Linux, including basic commands and shell scripting.
• 2+ years of experience with Agile engineering practices.
• Experience leveraging interactive AI tooling to accelerate productivity beyond basic code completion.

Compensation ranges by location, with additional performance‑based incentive opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package. Salary information is provided for Cambridge, MA;
McLean, VA; and Richmond, VA. Other locations are subject to local pay ranges.
