As an AWS Geospatial Software Engineer, you can resolve a problem with a complete end-to-end geospatial solution in a fast, agile environment. You Have:
  • 5+ years of experience in software with a cloud-first development approach
  • 5+ years of experience with back-end development, including with back-end languages such as Java, Python, GO, or C++, and front-end languages such as JavaScript, Type Script, HTML, or CSS
  • 3+ years of experience with enterprise application development, including geospatial data processing and spatial algorithm development
  • 3+ years of experience with AWS services and cloud-native architecture patterns, including ECS/EKS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, EC2, RDS, DynamoDB, IAM policies, security groups, and network security
  • 3+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code, including AWS CDK, Terraform, or Cloud Formation
  • Experience working with containerization, including Docker, Kubernetes, or ECS/EKS, and container orchestration
  • Experience developing and deploying production geospatial applications from concept to O&M
  • Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
  • Bachelor's degree
Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with Authority to Operate (ATO) processes and security documentation
  • Experience with database administration and optimization, including RDS, DynamoDB, or MongoDB
  • Experience with serverless architecture such as Lambda and API Gateway
  • Experience leading technical initiatives in large-scale environments
  • Experience with system design, including scalability and reliability
  • Experience developing Geospatial UIs, implementing Dev Ops mechanisms for projects, and designing and implementing UI for artificial intelligence or machine learning applications
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • AWS Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Developer Certification
  • IAT Level II+ Certification such as Security+ or CISSP Certification

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
