Senior ServiceNow Developer

Capgemini Government Solutions (CGS) LLC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Service Now Developer to join our growing team supporting a federal government client. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in designing and delivering enterprise Service Now solutions that drive mission success and solve complex operational challenges. As a Senior Service Now Developer, you'll leverage your deep platform expertise to architect and develop innovative solutions while mentoring team members, collaborating with stakeholders, and influencing technical direction.

As a Senior Service Now Developer, you will:
Design, develop, and implement scalable Service Now solutions and platform enhancements. Lead the integration of Service Now modules, APIs, workflows, and user-facing applications. Collaborate with product owners, architects, developers, and client stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions. Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and peer reviews throughout Agile development sprints. Lead root-cause analysis and resolution efforts for production issues and technical incidents.

Troubleshoot and remediate Operations & Maintenance (O&M) defects while driving continuous platform improvements. Design and develop custom-scoped applications using Service Now best practices and modern development frameworks. Ensure successful deployment, performance, security, and long-term sustainability of Service Now applications. Contribute to solution architecture decisions and the adoption of emerging Service Now capabilities.

Required Qualifications U.S. Citizenship required. Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance. Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. 5+ years of hands-on Service Now development experience. Strong expertise in JavaScript, Glide scripting, React, HTML, CSS, and AJAX. Experience developing custom-scoped applications utilizing Service Now ITSM and Now Create methodologies and toolsets. Strong understanding of Agile principles and experience working within Agile development teams.

Knowledge of relational databases and SQL concepts. Active Service Now Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification.

Preferred Qualifications The ideal candidate will also possess one or more of the following:
Current or previous Federal Public Trust suitability determination. Service Now Certified Application Developer (CAD) certification. Service Now Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) certification.

Experience with UiPath or other intelligent automation technologies. Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Proven ability to collaborate effectively across technical, business, and client teams. Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities. High attention to detail and commitment to quality delivery. Demonstrated success managing customer relationships and adapting to evolving business requirements. A passion for continuous learning and staying current with emerging Service Now capabilities, industry trends, and best practices.
