Senior Automation Test Engineer – Selenium / Cucumber

Seeking an experienced Senior Automation Test Engineer with 8–10 years of experience in software testing and automation frameworks. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in UI automation, API testing, test framework development, and CI/CD integration. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test solutions to ensure high-quality software delivery.

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web, mobile, and API-based applications.
• Build and enhance automation frameworks using tools such as Selenium Web Driver, Cypress, Appium, and Cucumber.
• Perform UI, API, functional, regression, and integration testing.
• Develop and execute API automation tests using tools like Postman and Rest Assured.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA teams to identify testing requirements and improve test coverage.
• Integrate automated testing solutions into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, and Docker.
• Analyze test results, troubleshoot failures, and report defects with detailed documentation.
• Perform backend validation using SQL queries to verify data integrity and application behavior.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Continuously improve automation processes, frameworks, and testing methodologies.

• 8–10 years of experience in QA automation testing or SDET roles.
• Strong programming knowledge with experience in Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript.
• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools:
  • Selenium Web Driver
  • Cypress
  • Appium
  • Cucumber / BDD framework
• Experience with API testing tools:
  • Postman
  • Rest Assured
• Experience with version control and CI/CD tools:
  • Git
  • Jenkins
  • Docker
• Strong SQL skills for backend data validation and database testing.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

• Experience developing automation frameworks from scratch.
• Knowledge of cloud-based testing environments.
• Experience testing enterprise applications in Hi-Tech industry environments.
• Exposure to performance and security testing concepts.
