Salary Range: $18.91 - $25.35

This position is 213 days (10.5 months), 8 hours with 6 paid holidays, paid sick leave and paid flexible personal leave (3 days per year). If hired after the start of the school year, days and leave are pro-rated. Job SummaryTo assist in the main school office with various clerical tasks; greet parents, providing responses to their inquiries, directing them to other staff as needed. This position serves as the primary communicator for students and families whose first language is Spanish.
Essential Job Functions- Organizes work and schedules tasks.
- Types on typewriter or computer and performs routine clerical work.
- Operates general office machines properly.
- Answer telephone.
- Greets parents, volunteers, and other visitors.
- Is able to communicate both verbally and in writing with families and students whose first language is Spanish.
- Processes mail.
- Sorts, catalogs and files materials.
- Communicates and works cooperatively with other staff members.
- Comprehends and follows oral and written instructions.
- Performs all job related tasks with a minimum of supervision.
- Responsible for being familiar with the school/district policies and procedures which govern the work.
- Prompt and regular attendance is required.
Performs other tasks as assigned. Assists other personnel as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities. Participates in various meetings and professional development activities for the purpose of sharing information and/or improving one's skills/knowledge.

Bilingual in English and Spanish in both verbal and written communication. Ability to work cooperatively and harmoniously as a team member. Ability to plan, organize, and work without close supervision. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with District personnel and the public. Maintains confidential information and the privacy of District staff, students, and families. Carries out work responsibilities effectively under pressure of deadlines, interruptions, and new or emergency situations.
Ability to work with a diverse population. Ability to respect confidential information. Computer skills to include use of word processing programs, database programs and the Google Suite of products.
