Lum's GMC is seeking a highly skilled Master-Level Service Technician in McMinnville, Oregon with the ability to diagnose and repair all areas of vehicles.

  • Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership policies and procedures.
  • Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
  • Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are well-informed of any additional services needed.
  • Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
  • Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.

Schedule:

Day shift, includes Saturdays.

Pay: $35-$50 flat rate, depending on experience. Lum's will consider paying relocation and initial travel expenses (during relocation period) for the right candidate.

Qualifications
  • ASE or GM Certified Service Technician
  • Master-level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair
  • Broad knowledge of new vehicle technologies
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ambitious, hardworking presence in a team environment
  • Positive, friendly, empathetic attitude, along with a customer service mentality
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Ability to collaborate respectfully and effectively
  • Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications

    Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen (we do not test for THC)
  • Must provide your own tools

Education:

High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

  • Customer service: 1 year (Preferred) Technician
  • Experience:

    5years (Preferred)
