About the RoleThis is a full-time, in-office position, Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
A Compliance Specialist serves as one of the primary employees responsible for completing new and renewed support documents under the Office of Developmental Disabilities Services Compass Project as a Standard Model Agency.
This role includes contacting clients and other relevant supports to complete quarterly progress reports and ensure documentation accuracy. The Compliance Specialist also maintains direct communication with Case Managers within Brokerage and County ODDS departments for reporting and coordination purposes.
This position is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing documentation timelines while maintaining professional communication with multiple stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Documentation and Compliance
- Complete and maintain required client support documents, including:
- Implementation Strategies
- Provider Risk Management Strategies
- Safety Plans
- Quarterly Progress Reports
- Change Forms
- Review and interpret Individualized Support Plans, Service Agreements, Risk Identification Tools, Positive Behavior Support Plans, and other required documentation.
- Ensure all documentation meets Compass Project and ODDS compliance standards.
- Submit completed documents securely and within required timelines.
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems.
- Collaboration and Communication
- Communicate with County and Brokerage Case Managers regarding documentation and reporting.
- Collaborate with Clients and client representatives to gather accurate and complete information.
- Participate in weekly team meetings to review deadlines and workflow.
- Maintain professional relationships with Clients, DSPs, and community partners.
- Tracking and Reporting
- Maintain ongoing protocol caseloads following ISP authorizations.
- Complete Quarterly Progress Reports to track client progress and outcomes.
- Manage medication tracking systems for clients who require medical support documentation.
- Maintain progress metrics and provide weekly workload reports to the Compliance Supervisor.

RequirementsMinimum Qualifications
- 21 years of age or older
- Successfully pass a DHS criminal background check
- Eligible to work in the U.S.
- Valid Driver's License and auto insurance
- No record of substantiated abuse/neglect or CMS exclusion list status
- Able to communicate with clients and employees through SMS, email, phone calls, and in person.
- Proficiency with computers and software programs such as Microsoft Word, Adobe Fill & Sign, Adobe PDF Programs, Internet Explorer, Windows, phone-based applications, and E-mail correspondence.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently, exercise good judgment, and prioritize daily tasks.
