Overview
We are seeking a Part-Time Psychiatrist to provide mental health services at a VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic.
Responsibilities- Diagnose, treat, and manage mental health conditions, including counseling and therapy.
- Supervise mental health staff and collaborate with primary care teams to develop patient care plans.
- Conduct assessments, order diagnostic tests, and interpret results.
- Provide patient education on medications, wellness, and self-management.
- Maintain documentation in EMR systems and ensure compliance with VA and regulatory standards.
- Participate in outreach and support patient enrollment initiatives.
- Board certification in Psychiatry and an active, unrestricted medical license.
- 1-3 years of clinical experience with adult patients.
- Current DEA registration and certifications in BLS and ACLS.
- Strong communication skills and proficiency in EMR systems.
