Substitute Teacher Position

McPherson USD #418 is looking for qualified individuals to help serve as full-time substitute teachers for the  school year. Candidates will have the opportunity to indicate their preferred building location on their application, but placement in their preferred building is not guaranteed.

* We require a drug and background check for employment with USD 418.

* Hourly wage rate is based on USD 418 substitute compensation.

Job information:
Full-time substitutes will report to their assigned school daily and substitute teach at a variety of grade levels. When a substitute is not needed at the assigned school, the full-time substitute may be asked to substitute at another school in USD 418. Full-time substitutes will support school staff as directed by the building principal at times when a classroom substitute is not needed.

Terms of employment:
Full-time substitutes will be contracted for approximately 7.5 hours per day, 5 days a week, and 171 days during the school year. Pay starts at $15.70/hr, with pay increases based on in-district experience. These positions qualify for benefits as determined by the negotiated agreement and classified handbook.
