Temp to Hire

What you'll do:

· Setup and operate a variety of machinery to blueprint specifications.

· Produce parts to the highest-level finishes and tolerances.

· Use various measuring tools and instruments for precision measuring.

· Read part drawings with sectional views.

· Move controls to set specified speeds, feed rates, and spacing between wheel faces.

· Lifts and positions work piece manually or with a hoist and secures it between wheels and on work rest.

· Work independently; assist less experienced machinist.

· Demonstrate personal leadership; actively participate in or lead problem solving and continuous improvement efforts.

· Demonstrate flexibility when confronted with high stress or emergency situations, priority changes, or new assignments.

· Interact professionally when interacting with customers and employees.

· Produce and maintain a consistent quality of work.

· Recommend improvements for area product and processes.

· Set the department standards in areas of housekeeping, attendance and teamwork by example.

· Practice good communication with employees at all levels.

· Other duties may be assigned

Basic Requirements:

· HS Diploma or equivalent

· 1+ years of related experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience

· Math skills - basic math skills required, advanced preferred; general computer skills; knowledge and understanding of various measuring devices.
