Wabtec – Now hiring for a Production Assembler
Location: McPherson, KS
Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour
Schedule: 1st Shift | 6 AM – 4:30 PM | Monday – Thursday (OT as need on Fridays)

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic math and computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions
- Problem-solving mindset with openness to feedback and improvement
Responsibilities
- Assemble, build, and test parts/finished goods per blueprints, work orders, and specifications
- Complete assembly checklists accurately and on time
- Monitor and report stock levels to Shop Floor Lead(s)
- Follow safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment
- Uphold Wabtec’s Code of Conduct and company standards

As a Production Assembler you will assemble products, components, or equipment using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and assembly instructions. You will inspect completed assemblies, verify measurements, identify quality concerns, maintain organized work areas, and support production goals while following established manufacturing procedures and workplace safety standards.
The Production Assembler supports manufacturing by assembling products according to engineering specifications and production requirements. This role requires mechanical aptitude, strong attention to detail, and the ability to follow detailed work instructions.
