Back Saw Operator - McPherson, Kansas Temp to Hire
Summary:
Operate an automatic vertical band saw to cut steel stock to specifications. Requires manufacturing experience, blueprint reading, and the ability to accurately read a tape measure to within 1/16 inch.
- Operate an automatic vertical band saw to cut steel to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints and work orders.
- Maintain raw material inventory.
- Unload and store incoming steel materials.
- Operate an overhead crane and forklift.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on saw equipment.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Manufacturing experience operating a band saw preferred.
- Ability to read a tape measure to within 1/16 inch.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds throughout the workday.
