Registered Nurse; Infusion PRN

An RN Infusion Nurse is responsible for providing specialized nursing care to patients requiring Intravenous (IV therapies, including medication administration, blood products, hydration, and other infusion treatments.

• PRN (as needed)

• Perform venipuncture, central line care, and manage peripheral and central IV lines
• Administer medications, fluids, blood products, and other infusion therapies according to physician orders and protocols
• Monitor patient for adverse reactions during and after infusions, intervening, as necessary
• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' health status before, during and after infusions
• Monitor vital signs and other indicators of patient response to therapy
• Document patient care, progress, and any adverse events accurately in electronic health records
• Provide patient and families with education regarding infusion therapy, medications, and at-home care instructions
• Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare providers
• Communicate effectively with patient, families, and interdisciplinary team members

• At least 1-2 years of experience in infusion therapy preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Proficiency in IV insertions and infusion equipment operation
• Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills

• Associate's degree in Nursing (two-year program) or equivalent formal training program

• Licensed in the State of Kansas as a Registered Nurse
• BLS verification within 6 months of hiring
• ACLS and PALS verified within 6 months of hiring, will provide training
