Overview
As a Security Officer Patrol Driving Role in McPherson, KS
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a refinery location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine rounds, and support access-related activities. This is a driving post. You will help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence, strong communication, and customer service, while bringing our values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity to every shift.

Pay Rate: $17.94 / Hour

Day Time: 03:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Wed 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
Thu 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
Sat 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
Sun 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual conditions in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, perimeter, access points, and other assigned areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards, maintenance issues, and/or policy violations.
- Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or visitor information, and support site rules regarding restricted areas, deliveries, and contractor access.
- Complete routine reports, logs, and pass-down information, and communicate clearly with team members, site personnel, and/or first responders during incidents or operational changes.
- Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
