SummaryResponsible for all electrical diagnosis and repair on the given shift, including maintenance, service and repair of electrical and electronic equipment in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. Ideal candidate will have experience in PLC programming using ladder logic and troubleshooting electrical/electronic circuits to the component level. Must be able to work self‑guided, prioritize jobs, and communicate status and estimated repair times.
Duties And Responsibilities- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures; perform tasks in a safe manner.
- Have experience in Allen Bradley, Modicon, and Square D PLC logic programming.
- Possess electrical circuit troubleshooting skills.
- Read and interpret electrical diagrams, sketches and schematics.
- Be familiar with related test equipment and three‑phase 480V circuits.
- Work experience with 480V and below.
- Be a dedicated, hard‑working self‑starter.
- Experience in repair, installation and troubleshooting of commercial industry machinery, robotics, plumbing, and/or physical building structure is desired.
- Wear required PPE, including safety glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes, and others as needed.
- Maintain a safe, clean work environment and perform work as required by the supervisor.
- Work overtime as needed and take on additional assignments as requested by management.
- Maintain 5S standards.
- Provide weekly on‑call support up to six times a year.
- Formal technical training in electronics with a minimum of 5 years’ experience; robotics background preferred.
- Associates degree in electronics or Journeyman’s card preferred.
- Valid Kansas Class C driver’s license required.
- Ability to perform essential duties; reasonable accommodations may be made for disabilities.
The employee must frequently stand, walk, use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear; occasionally sit. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 40‑50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work EnvironmentThe employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock; wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, extreme heat, vibration, and high, precarious places. Noise level is usually loud.
