CEC Program Manager

Role:
Provide an enriching and engaging experience for all clients attending the Community Enrichment Center.

Major

Duties and Responsibilities:

Directly supervise CEC Direct Support Professionals.

Provide a monthly CEC objective outline containing all four pillars: education, social media, recreation, and community.

Assist appropriate agency personnel in hiring, training, and development of CEC Direct Support Professionals.

Implement Person Centered Support Plans for assigned individuals.

Develop community contacts and potential community volunteer positions for individuals served.

Collaborate with Residential Program Manager on shared staffing schedules.

Routinely and consistently collaborate and work positively and creatively with Clayworks staff and leadership to ensure success in all aspects of shared programmatic and community involvement.

Coordinate daily transportation of individuals served to participate in employment, volunteer, and leisure activities.

Enhance activities provided through the CEC by developing new projects/activities.

Maintain all CEC facilities and equipment to the highest standard.

Prompt, consistent attendance is an essential function of this position.

Timeliness in completion of assigned tasks.

Ensure timely completion of all training necessary and required for staff supervised.

Knowledge and

Skills:

Experience:

Minimum of two years of prior direct care experience preferred. Significant, verifiable history of proactive organizational skills and positive leadership required.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or Education preferred. High School diploma/equivalent required.

Interpersonal

Skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Decision making skills necessary to ensure the overall safety of the persons served and maintain the integrity of the program. Managing multiple tasks at once and ability to lead with clarity to appropriate staff is essential. Must demonstrate compassion for individuals with disabilities.

Other

Skills:

Basic mathematical skills required. Ethical decision-making skills also required. Knowledge of internal electronic filing system and Microsoft Office software as well as significant overall technological proficiency required. Testing for technological proficiency may be required.

Physical/Environmental:
Ability to lift thirty-five pounds. Moderate to loud noise such as that found in a moderately-sized, active social setting. Consistent traffic associated with those served frequently preparing for, attending, and returning from community employment and activities. Some travel required.

Due to the potential intimate nature of care and physical proximity involved with some of those receiving HCBS funded I/DD services through Disability Supports, and in order to promote a safe work environment for both the caregiver and those for whom we care, you may, from time-to-time, be required to wear PPE, (Personal Protective Equipment). If PPE is required, Disability Supports will provide it.
