The Industrial Engineer is responsible for managing all facility‑level information related to capacity and demand planning, cost request studies, product offloads, and demand data originating from commercial teams. This role ensures accurate analysis, supports strategic decision‑making, and enables efficient planning across manufacturing operations. The position plays a critical role in capital planning, product launch readiness, and cross‑functional alignment to optimize operational performance.
Key Responsibilities Capacity & Demand Management- Develop and maintain a comprehensive capacity and demand database covering halfshaft assembly and machining.
- Serve as the single repository for capacity planning documents and analysis to support capital investment decisions.
- Coordinate demand loading efforts between commercial teams and operations, providing insights for capital budgeting and planning.
- Manage demand data from commercial inputs through site‑specific operational planning.
- Coordinate Cost Request Studies (CRS) for business inquiries and support the New Business Approval–Sourcing process (NBA‑S).
- Maintain the CAPxDEM system model, reflecting planning changes and monitoring gaps and opportunities.
- Support the electronic Request for Quote (eRFQ) process by providing accurate capacity, equipment, and operational data for NBA‑Q evaluations.
- Support the Product Launch Process through Run‑at‑Rate verification, standards analysis, and required documentation.
- Liaise with Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, and Commercial teams to develop production plans and coordinate 5‑year product planning (5YP).
- Analyze work methods, manufacturing processes, and non‑productive materials to recommend cost‑reduction improvements.
- Assist leadership in implementing approved changes to layouts, equipment, methods, and materials using statistical techniques, CAD tools, and presentations.
- Maintain the Plant Layout Drawing and ensure updates reflect operational changes.
- Audit work standards (time and method), ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
- Establish direct/indirect labor levels for current and future schedules, supporting budget development and maintaining capacity/demand accuracy.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of proven experience in manufacturing, industrial engineering, capacity planning, or cost analysis.
- Strong understanding of assembly, machining, and product launch processes.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis, time studies, and manufacturing process evaluation.
- Experience using CAD software and familiarity with cost modeling tools or databases.

Ability to interpret complex datasets and translate insights into actionable recommendations. - Cross‑Functional
Collaboration:
Strong communication skills to work effectively with engineering, finance, operations, supply chain, and commercial teams. - Project Coordination:
Ability to manage multiple planning activities, RFQ deliverables, and product launch requirements simultaneously. - Process Optimization:
Skilled in identifying waste, improving workflows, and driving cost‑efficient solutions. - Technical Acumen:
Understanding of capacity planning, industrial engineering methodologies, and equipment/process capability.
