Test EngineerWe are looking for a team member who enjoys hands‑on work, problem‑solving, and working with precision equipment in a manufacturing environment. We will train you as needed.

- Support validation for new products to meet market needs.
- Perform component selection (heat exchangers, pumps, fans, compressors, controls, etc).
- Apply design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA).
- Commit to AKG’s corporate principles.
- Support market research led by Marketing and Product Development Manager and identify opportunities for product improvement.
- Develop new tests and methods for validation and verification of product characteristics and requirements.
- Execute verification and validation testing as requested by other departments.
- Write technical reports summarizing testing and validation efforts.
- Provide engineering support to Testing and Validation department.
- Build and test Battery Thermal Management Systems (BTMS) prototypes.
- BS in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET‑accredited university.
- Strong background in thermodynamics.
- Strong structural knowledge.
- Able to engineer creative and sound technical solutions.
- Technical writing and English communication skills.
- Strong Excel and MATLAB data‑management skills.
- Wiring and instrumentation experience (preferred).
- Data acquisition experience (preferred).
- Machine shop/fabrication experience (preferred).
- TIG welding capability (preferred).
- CAN architecture familiarity (preferred).
- Experience with high voltage (desired).
- Experience with Battery Thermal Management Systems (desired).
