As a Buyer, you will play a vital role in keeping our operations moving by ensuring the seamless flow of materials and services that support production across multiple sites. In this fast‑paced, collaborative environment, the Buyer drives day‑to‑day purchasing execution, maintains ERP accuracy, resolves supply challenges, and builds strong supplier partnerships to ensure uninterrupted operations and continued success.
This is a highly collaborative, execution‑focused role that requires proactive communication and a keen attention to detail to ensure uninterrupted material flow. The Buyer partners closely with Planning, Material Management, Sourcing, Production, Quality, and Finance teams to anticipate needs, address risks, and keep operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities Purchasing & ERP Execution- Issue, manage, and confirm purchase orders for materials, packaging, and services
- Maintain accurate supplier data, including pricing, lead times, and minimum order quantities
- Act on MRP signals, including expediting, deferring, or canceling orders
- Monitor open purchase orders and maintain accurate delivery dates within the ERP system
- Serve as the primary point of contact for suppliers regarding order status, delivery updates, and documentation
- Resolve receiving discrepancies, quality holds, and invoice issues
- Partner with Quality to support supplier corrective actions
- Collaborate cross‑functionally to resolve material shortages
- Expedite critical materials to prevent production downtime
- Communicate supply risks and support mitigation and recovery plans
- Assist with RFQs, cost analysis, and supplier quote evaluations
- Implement negotiated pricing and contracts within the ERP system
- Monitor purchase price variance (PPV) and support cost reduction initiatives
- Maintain accurate planning parameters, including lead times, safety stock, and order quantities
- Ensure adherence to purchasing policies and approved supplier lists
- Support compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred
- 2–3+ years of purchasing or procurement experience within a manufacturing environment
- Experience working with SAP or similar ERP/MRP systems
- Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in Excel;
Power BI experience preferred - APICS or ISM certification is a plus
- Experience in battery manufacturing or energy storage is beneficial
